JUST RELEASED

Immergrün expands outside of Ohio.

The folks at Immergrün have been working very hard to get contracts with doctors and hospitals in other cities and states, allowing our patients to get treatment closer to home. Patients must be enrolled with Immergrün prior to their appointment to receive contracted prices and must visit a doctor or facility on our participants list.

For an enrollment form, contact your church. Click here or call 1-800-333-3561 for a list of participating physicians and facilities.

Services We Provide
About Our Location

Immergrün, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization started by Dr. Edwin Nirdlinger. Our Board of Directors (containing a majority of Amish and Mennonite voting members) is determined to provide those we serve with good quality care at the most reasonable price we can obtain. We will always endeavor to act as the friend and advocate of the people with whom we work.

The organization serves Amish, Mennonites and others who, because of their religious beliefs, do not have medical insurance. Immergrün works as a patient advocate to obtain good quality medical care at rates that are affordable and to eliminate problems patients can experience when dealing directly with hospitals, clinics and physicians.

Immergrün also promotes the health of individuals and communities through education and other preventive measures. Immergrün is consistently receiving positive responses from our patients regarding prices and the quality of care received. While patients are in the Toledo area, Immergrün provides local housing for patients, families and their drivers at a reasonable cost.

Services

We have a broad range of specialist physicians who have agreed to work with Immergrün to help keep costs down for our patients. The type of specialists include, but are not limited to:

  • urologists
  • orthopedic surgeons
  • general surgeons
  • neurologists
  • plastic surgeons
  • opthalmologists
  • gynocologists
  • ear, nose and throat doctors

Immergrün has contacts with medical care facilities as well as testing services. We are contiually expanding the type of services provided based on patient requests. We are not currently equipped to handle emergency cases.

Classes in nutrition and exercise, the use of herbs and supplements as well as other natural means of health protection are also available through Immergrün. If you are interested in nutritional classes for your community, please call 1-800-333-3561 for more information.

Location

Immergrün is located in Toledo, Ohio, which is easily accessible from communities all over the United States. All of the medical facilites we use in the Toledo area are conveniently located near our available housing. Groups of patients from any one area can, therefore, save on transportation costs by traveling together. We have had patients from as far as Oregon, Idaho, Florida, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Wisconsin and even from Mexico and Canada. Most of our patients are from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and Michigan.

We also have been working with many organizations outside of the Toledo area, near the communities we serve. For more information, please call the office.

Toledo has good bus and train access for those who don’t use drivers. And there are taxi services available in the city. Immergrün also has volunteer drivers, who with advance notice, may be available to transport patients to and from their appointments, surgeries and their hotel.
